Nuclear Medicine Techs

Overview:

• Attitude is key.
• Prior experience in academic setting likely to be successful.
• Must be able to hit the ground running.
• High Volume- Irvine, Costa Mesa and Orange are VERY busy working everything from clinical trials, every nuclear medicine procedure possible, 50 different radiologic pharmaceuticals they work with.
• If candidates have lower volume or community health exp only, they may be a better fit for Los Alamitos.
• Will be assigned a single location for initial 13 week assignment, may be open to rotating locations in the future, but not during their first assignment.
• No on call expected.

Requirements:

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Required.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Required.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Required.
• Must be able to provide on-call/call-back service as needed Required.
• Minimum one year, full-time experience working as a CNMT Required.
• Knowledge of State regulatory radiation safety practices and the principles of ALARA Required.
• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program Required.
• Current and active State of California CNMT License Required.
• Current and active NMTCB and/or AART (N) licensure for Nuclear Medicine Required.
• Current BLS certification Required.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Required.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Required.
