Job Duration: 3 + month contract (with extension thereafter)

Shift – 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Range: $90 - $96/hr. on W2
 
Job Summary:

• We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Nurse Educator for the Med surge and Emergency Room (ER).
• In this role, you will design, implement, and evaluate educational programs to support ER nursing staff, enhance patient care, and ensure clinical competency.
• The ER Nurse Educator will work closely with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to improve safety, quality, and performance standards.

• Develop and deliver training and orientation programs for new ER and Med surge nurses.
• Assess clinical competency and skill gaps, plan targeted education.
• Implement evidence-based practices and protocols in ER/Med surge nursing care.
• Conduct regular in-service sessions, workshops, and simulation exercises.
• Maintain up-to-date educational materials, policies, and procedure guides.
• Support the ER/Med surge team during high-acuity patient care as a clinical resource.
• Collaborate with leadership on performance improvement initiatives.
• Stay informed about the latest ER/Med surge best practices, regulatory requirements, and healthcare trends.

• 3 - 5+ years of ER & Med surge clinical experience required.
• Prior experience in teaching, precepting, or staff development is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to motivate, coach, and support Nursing team members.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles and evidence-based practice.

• New York State RN License, Primary Source Verification, AHA BLS
• BSN Required, MSN preferred.
