Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiology
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiology
Location: Milwaukee, WI, 53226
Duration: 3 months+ (extension Possible)
Shift: 12-hour days, float as needed
Schedule: 3 Days Per Week, 36 Hours Per Week, up to every other weekend
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Upon hire, any non-BSN nurse with less than one year of licensed registered nurse experience will be required to enrol in a BSN (or higher nursing degree) program.
- Acceptance into a program is expected within 15 months of hire, and the degree must be completed within 5 years of enrolment (or 6 years if MSN, DNP, or PhD in Nursing).
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Licensure & Certifications:
- Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS), or AHA-approved equivalent, required within 90 days of hire.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice typically acquired through an accredited School of Nursing.
- Clinical competence in the care and management of target patient populations specific to the area of employment.
- Must be experienced with CADD pumps (epidural and nerve block pumps).
