Job Title: Travel RN PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 2+ months with Possible extension.
Pay range - $60/hr. - $65/hr.
We are also offering travel and per diem packages that is based on eligibility.
Schedule:
Shift Timing: 1:00 PM End Time: 11:30 PM
Job Summary:
Client is seeking an experienced PACU Travel RN for a high-acuity recovery unit. The RN will provide specialized care to post-operative patients, monitor vitals, manage pain control, and collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort during recovery.
Responsibilities:
Location: Albany, NY

Job Summary:
Client is seeking an experienced PACU Travel RN for a high-acuity recovery unit. The RN will provide specialized care to post-operative patients, monitor vitals, manage pain control, and collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort during recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor post-surgical patients vital signs and level of consciousness
- Administer medications, pain management, and IV therapy
- Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and support teams for safe recovery transition
- Handle emergency situations as needed in a fast-paced environment
- Provide patient and family education upon discharge
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, and safety standards
- May be required to float to similar units based on facility need
- Licensure: Active NY RN license (No exceptions; pending license not accepted)
- Certifications:
- AHA BLS (Required)
- AHA ACLS (Preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience
- EMR System: EPIC (Experience Required)
- Education: Associate's or Bachelors Degree in Nursing
