Job Title: RN – Pediatrics
Location: Bronx, NY 10461
Duration: 06/08/2026 – 09/12/2026
Shift: Night Shift – 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule: 3 days/week, 11.5 hrs/day, 34.5 hrs/week, No on-call required
Pay Range: $72-$75/hr.
Schedule Notes:
- One contract only; no extension
Work Setting: Pediatrics / Acute Care Hospital
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Rehab experience in a large acute care hospital setting with most recent experience within the past year
- Physical assessment experience
- Medication administration experience
- Wound care and infection control experience
- IV therapy experience
- Post-operative care experience
- Patient education experience
- Telemetry monitoring experience
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- EPIC EMR experience
Education:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institute required
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- New York State RN License with Primary Source Verification
- AHA BLS
Job Summary:
- Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Delivers bedside nursing care for pediatric patients within an acute care hospital environment
Duties:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Provide direct and individualized bedside nursing care
- Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
- Adjust specialized medical equipment and interpret measurements
- Monitor patient vitals and report adverse medication reactions
- Collaborate with healthcare team on discharge planning
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-care instructions
- Maintain patient charts, files, and medical records
- Adhere to nursing standards, protocols, and best practices
