Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse performs independent nursing and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted state Board of Nursing standards. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while promoting health and well-being. This role involves direct patient care and indirect care through consultation, delegation, supervision, and education of others.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient health status through ongoing collection and evaluation of health data.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans.
- Provide health teaching, counseling, and therapy supportive of life and well-being.
- Execute delegated medical functions and review therapy/treatment plans.
- Refer patients for additional evaluation or treatment as needed.
- Document care and treatment accurately according to hospital and regulatory standards.
- Utilize resources effectively to support patient care.
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and adhere to service behavior standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- May be required to float to other departments within competency areas based on business needs.
- May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily and independently.
- Strong clinical judgment and nursing skills consistent with the standards of the state Board of Nursing.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical nursing practice.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and schedules.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.
