Duration: 3 Months+ (Possibilities of Extension)
Shift: 12-Hour Nights
Schedule: 3x12s | 36 hours per week

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse – Transplant ICU is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for adult patients in a high-acuity inpatient ICU setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, critical care expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Care delivery is aligned with the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice to support optimal patient outcomes.

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse – Transplant ICU is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for adult patients in a high-acuity inpatient ICU setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, critical care expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Care delivery is aligned with the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice to support optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a Transplant ICU.
- Perform detailed assessments and document findings accurately and timely.
- Implement and evaluate individualized plans of care based on patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and critical care interventions per protocol.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient status.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
- Float to other ICUs, step-down units, or acute care units within the same facility as needed.
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety standards, and hospital policies.
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Active Wisconsin RN License or Multi-State Compact License.
- AHA BLS certification.
- AHA ACLS certification (required).
- Must pass Basic Rhythm Interpretation (BRI) exam with ≥ 85% (2 attempts allowed).
- Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience (required).
- Strong clinical competence in adult critical care environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Additional Notes:
- 20-bed Transplant ICU.
- Every other weekend required.
- No on-call requirement.
- Float required within the same location only.
