Phlebotomist I

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the frontline representative of the company to patients visiting for routine healthcare or critical diagnostic services. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing while strictly adhering to standard protocols. This role requires professionalism, strong communication, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach to care.

• Accurately perform daily specimen collection and processing under supervision.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.

• Confidently perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection following all procedures and safety protocols.

• Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation.

• Ensure proper patient identification, specimen labeling, and documentation.

• Maintain and organize all required records.

• Demonstrate a positive organizational image to patients, clients, colleagues, and the public.

• Exhibit Leadership Behaviors and commitment to process excellence and data confidentiality.

• Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

• Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.

• High school diploma or equivalent – REQUIRED

• Medical training (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic) – Preferred

• Phlebotomy certification – Preferred

  • Mandatory in California, Nevada, and Washington

• Minimum of 6 months experience – REQUIRED

• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience – Preferred

• Customer service experience in retail or service environments – Preferred

• Keyboard and data entry proficiency – REQUIRED

• The work environment is fast-paced, requiring excellent time management and adaptability.

• Training location may vary depending on trainer availability.
