Phlebotomist I
Duartion: 3months
Location: Bloomington IL
Shift: M- F 7am - 4pm
Pay Range - $24/hr
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the frontline representative of the company to patients visiting for routine healthcare or critical diagnostic services. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing while strictly adhering to standard protocols. This role requires professionalism, strong communication, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach to care.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately perform daily specimen collection and processing under supervision.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.

Confidently perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection following all procedures and safety protocols.

Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation.

Ensure proper patient identification, specimen labeling, and documentation.

Maintain and organize all required records.

Demonstrate a positive organizational image to patients, clients, colleagues, and the public.

Job Requirements:

Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent – REQUIRED
-
Medical training (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic) – Preferred

Phlebotomy certification – Preferred
-
Mandatory in California, Nevada, and Washington
-
Work Experience:
-
Minimum of 6 months experience – REQUIRED
-
1+ year of phlebotomy experience – Preferred
-
Customer service experience in retail or service environments – Preferred
-
Keyboard and data entry proficiency – REQUIRED
