Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides virtual and ambulatory nursing support for patients requiring emergency and urgent care services. This role combines emergency department (ED/ER) clinical expertise with telehealth and remote triage responsibilities to ensure timely, appropriate, and high-quality patient care.
The RN conducts remote patient assessments, triages symptoms, determines acuity levels, and provides evidence-based guidance in alignment with established clinical protocols. Collaborates with emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinic teams to coordinate care and escalate cases as needed.
Responsibilities include documenting patient interactions in the EMR, supporting outpatient clinic workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting patient safety in a virtual care environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform telehealth and remote triage assessments
• Apply ER/ED clinical judgment to determine patient acuity
• Coordinate care with ambulatory and emergency department teams
• Provide patient education and discharge guidance
• Document accurately in EMR systems
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and quality standards

 
Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of Georgia or Compact
• Minimum 2–3 years ER/ED experience required
• Ambulatory/outpatient experience preferred
• Prior telehealth or virtual care experience preferred
• Strong triage and critical thinking skills
