Location: Chapel Hill, NC
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Duration: 3 months+
Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required
Job Description:
- Join the Neurosurgical ICU at Client Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC. We deliver advanced care to patients with brain tumors, strokes, neuromuscular and neurodegenerative disorders, neurotrauma, and more.
- You’ll be part of a 22-bed unit with a 1:2 patient ratio to ensure exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver competent and compassionate nursing care.
- Coordinate patient care using the nursing process.
- Educate patients and families using appropriate learning tools.
- Update and revise care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for complex patient care.
- Promote a safe and clean hospital environment.
- Perform bedside testing and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- Required: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from accredited school
- Preferred: BSN or MSN
- RN License (State of North Carolina)
- AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification
