Job Title: RN Stepdown
Location: 440 W 114th St, New York, NY 10025
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend Required)
Contract Type: 13 weeks (possible extension)
Hours: 34.5 hours/week, 11.5 hours/day, 3 days/week
Pay Rate: $65/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)

Role Overview:
The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care in a Stepdown Unit. This role involves applying nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practices to manage patient care, collaborate with the healthcare team, educate patients, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:

• Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Associate degree may be considered with relevant experience or active enrollment in a BSN program.

Certifications & Licenses:

• Required: Registered Nurse (RN) License in New York State.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Experience:

• Required: Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Required: 2 years of experience in cardiology, telemetry, or VAD care.
• Preferred: EPIC experience.
• Required for Travel Positions: 1 year of travel nurse experience

Skills:

• Expertise in cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and ventilator care.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient-centered care.
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with legal and regulatory standards.
• Knowledge of high reliability practices in healthcare.
• Proficiency in patient education and coaching.
