Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU
Location: Neptune, NJ 07754
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possibility of Extension)
 
Pay Range: $60 - $65/hr. on W2

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-acuity care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including those recovering from thoracic and vascular surgeries. This role involves independent judgment, critical thinking, and a deep commitment to evidence-based nursing practice.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, plan, implement, and document individualized patient care based on nursing assessments and physician’s medical diagnosis.
• Perform therapeutic interventions, administer medications, and manage the overall care of critically ill cardiovascular patients.
• Monitor telemetry and hemodynamic data, respond to changes in patient condition, and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation aligned with professional and regulatory standards.
• Support and advocate for evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the organization’s nursing practice model.
• Participate in ongoing assessments and care plan updates throughout the patient’s continuum of care.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 
Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience working in a Cardiovascular ICU setting.
• Strong proficiency in:
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Step-down/surgical units
  • Thoracic and vascular step-down care
• Demonstrated LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) competency and care experience.

 
Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in [Insert State]
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) – Required
• BSN preferred but not required
