Pay Range: $60 - $65/hr. on W2
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-acuity care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including those recovering from thoracic and vascular surgeries. This role involves independent judgment, critical thinking, and a deep commitment to evidence-based nursing practice.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-acuity care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including those recovering from thoracic and vascular surgeries. This role involves independent judgment, critical thinking, and a deep commitment to evidence-based nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, plan, implement, and document individualized patient care based on nursing assessments and physician’s medical diagnosis.
- Perform therapeutic interventions, administer medications, and manage the overall care of critically ill cardiovascular patients.
- Monitor telemetry and hemodynamic data, respond to changes in patient condition, and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation aligned with professional and regulatory standards.
- Support and advocate for evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the organization’s nursing practice model.
- Participate in ongoing assessments and care plan updates throughout the patient’s continuum of care.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience working in a Cardiovascular ICU setting.
- Strong proficiency in:
- Telemetry monitoring
- Step-down/surgical units
- Thoracic and vascular step-down care
- Demonstrated LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) competency and care experience.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in [Insert State]
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) – Required
- BSN preferred but not required
