Registered Nurse (RN) ICU – Pediatrics

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) ICU – Pediatrics
Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73104
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possibility of extension)

Shift/Schedule: Nights, 3×12s, 36 hours/week

Job Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of pediatric ICU patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Obtain and monitor physiological data; observe patient condition and intervene as needed
• Administer medications as prescribed, including IV infusions and blood products
• Deliver competent, safe, and effective patient care
• Communicate care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge
• Educate patients and families on hospital procedures
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in ICU – Peds specialty in hospital setting.  
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS – AHA)
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and procedures
• Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
