Job Title: Clinical Nurse – CSICU (Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit)
Location: 111 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025
Department: 6E - Cardiology/Cardiovascular (SLRHC – St. Luke’s)
Contract Type: 13 weeks
Schedule Details:7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Flexible Scheduling)
Hours per Week: 34.5, Days per Week: 3 (11.5-hour shifts)
Hourly rate: $58/hr. on W2 (Negotiable) 

Role Overview:
The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for delivering safe, high-quality, and compassionate care to a designated patient population in CSICU. This role integrates nursing theory, evidence-based practices, and institutional standards to meet the needs of cardiac and post-open heart surgical patients, while also enhancing the overall patient experience through relationship-centered care.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Accepted: Associate Degree in Nursing with relevant experience or BSN program enrollment
• Licensure & Certifications:
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse License required
  • BLS Certification required
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • At least 2 years in Post-Open Heart and Cardiac Care required
• Technical Skills:
  • EPIC EHR experience highly preferred

Unit Information:

• Unit Census: Average 17 patients
• Unit Beds: 26
• Staffing Ratio: 1:2 nurse-to-patient
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week including weekends
