RN - Medical/Surgical Tele (MS/Tele)

Job Summary:

• Fulfills the needs of the patients, families and community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with his/her licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
• Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring and efficient manner.
• Applies knowledge of growth and development over the life span necessary to provide age appropriate care.
• Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patients needs.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.
• Makes initial assessment, and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidence by appropriate documentation.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidence by appropriate documentation.
• Completes admission assessment in time frame established, according to policy and procedures.

Education:

• BSN - Highly desired.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• NIHSS, BLS & ACLS – Required.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district - Required.
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Med/Surg Tele Experience - Required: 2 Years.
• Cerner Experience Required.
• RN Experience - Required: 2 Years.

Schedule:

• 3 x 12s days on new MS department.

Location Requirement:

• Must live 100 miles away.
