RN - Progressive Critical Care Unit
Job Title: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (RN - PCU)
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension
Pay Range: $70/hr. – $75/hr.
We are also offering travel and per diem packages that is based on eligibility.

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Travel PCU Registered Nurse to care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in the region. Candidates must have Epic EMR experience and will be required to complete a competency test within 48 hours of submission. An ideal candidate will be proficient in managing high acuity patients and advanced hemodynamics in a fast-paced progressive critical care setting.
Responsibilities:

Manage patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, endocrine disorders, surgical complications, and multi-system organ dysfunction

Administer and titrate medications including pressors, antihypertensives, sedatives, thrombo-embolytics, and Narcan drips

Use advanced monitoring equipment: A-line, CVP, EVD, HFNC, BiPap/CPAP, oxypendent

Follow infection prevention protocols and perform patient assessments

Collaborate with care teams to develop individualized care plans

Care for an average load of 3 high acuity patients

Document all care accurately using Epic EMR
Skills & Requirements:

Epic EMR Experience: Required
Experience:
-
Minimum 2 years RN experience in PCU or ICU (Required)

Strong background in adult PCU or community hospital ICU settings preferred
Competency Test:
-
Must be completed within 48 hours of submission

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

NY RN License (Active only; pending licenses not accepted)
Certifications:

ACLS (Required)
Technical Skills:

Advanced hemodynamics, pressor titration protocols, infection prevention

Familiarity with A-line, CVP, EVD, traction devices, HFNC, BiPap, and CPAP
Dress Code:
