Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Denver, Colorado, for a 13-week contract. This role involves delivering high-quality care to medically complex patients in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) and Telemetry setting, often involving ventilator support, tracheostomy care, and central line management.
The ideal candidate demonstrates critical thinking, sound clinical judgment, and leadership while providing safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care. The nurse will utilize the Nursing Process and comply with the Colorado Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive patient care in an LTAC and telemetry environment, including:
-
Ventilator management
-
Tracheostomy care
-
Central line monitoring and maintenance
-
Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
-
Wound care (preferred)
-

Perform assessments, administer medications, and evaluate responses to treatment.

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.

Accurately document patient care, observations, and outcomes in the EMR.

Supervise and delegate duties to licensed and unlicensed staff according to their Product of practice.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Maintain clinical competencies and adhere to patient safety and infection control protocols.
Required Qualifications:

Licensure: Active Colorado RN license or multi-state compact RN license (must be submitted with resume)

Certifications:

BLS (American Heart Association required)
-
ACLS (American Heart Association required)

Experience:
-
Minimum 1 year of recent LTAC/Telemetry RN experience in a hospital or acute care setting

Must have experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and central lines
-
Wound care experience preferred
