Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $43/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hours per Week: 40 & Daily Hours: 8
Shift Hours:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide supportive and restorative nursing care, administer medications, and perform specialized clinical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed physician/dentist. The role involves direct patient care in a structured setting and includes responsibilities in intravenous therapy and blood product administration with proper certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Location: New York, NY
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

- Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide supportive and restorative nursing care, administer medications, and perform specialized clinical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed physician/dentist. The role involves direct patient care in a structured setting and includes responsibilities in intravenous therapy and blood product administration with proper certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care in routine and structured environments.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Administer treatments and procedures (e.g., suctioning, urinary catheterization).
- Prepare patients for surgery, diagnostics, and treatments.
- Administer medications and process specimens correctly.
- Set up IV equipment and manage peripheral IV infusions.
- Administer blood/blood products (requires specialized training).
- Accurately document observations, treatments, and incidents in the medical record.
- Support care plans under RN supervision and contribute to interdisciplinary care planning.
- Reinforce RN-led patient/family education.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Assist inpatient rehabilitation and ensure physical comfort and safety.
- Participate in patient care conferences.
- Respond to emergency situations (e.g., Team 7000 calls) and perform BCLS.
- Completion of an approved LPN educational program.
- Current LPN licensure from the New York State Department of Health.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA).
- Completion of New York State LPN IV Therapy Initial Program.
- Annual completion of IV therapy/blood administration procedure review.
- Strong understanding of basic nursing care and patient support.
- Proficiency in administering routine treatments and medications.
- Competence in IV therapy and blood product administration.
- Effective communication and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Ability to support emotional and physical well-being of patients.
- Accurate clinical documentation and reporting.
