Travel: RN - Medical / Surgical

Job Title: Travel RN Medical / Surgical
Location: Alexandria, LA 71301
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Deliver routine and complex patient care in a MedSurg unit
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and care needs
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients
• Delegate tasks and make appropriate clinical assignments
• Follow ANA Product and Standards of Practice and Client's competencies

Requirements:

• RN License in state of employment or compact
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of MedSurg nursing experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Preferences:

• Experience in a similar clinical setting
• Ability to work independently and manage complex patient care situations
