Job Title: Registered Nurse LTAC: Travel
Location: Denver, CO 80011
Contract: 3 months+ (with possibility of extension)
Pay Rate: $65/hr. on W2
License Requirements: Colorado RN or Multi-State Compact RN (must be attached)
Certification Requirements: ACLS & BLS through American Heart Association (must be attached)
Experience Required: 2–5 years, with ventilator/tracheostomy experience; knowledge of central lines; wound care experience preferred
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Role Overview:
The LTAC/Telemetry RN is responsible for delivering patient-centered care using the Nursing Process in accordance with state regulations and hospital policies. This role emphasizes critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for safe, high-quality care. The RN delegates care appropriately based on staff education and experience and supervises personnel delivering direct patient care.

- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for patients in LTAC and telemetry settings.
- Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment to plan and anticipate patient care needs.
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development.
- Delegate patient care priorities effectively to support staff based on their education and experience.
- Provide direction and supervision for assigned personnel delivering patient care.
- Monitor patients with ventilators, tracheostomies, central lines, and telemetry devices.
- Assist with wound care management as needed.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and state Nurse Practice Act requirements.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and interventions.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active CO RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license
- ACLS & BLS certification through AHA
- 2–5 years nursing experience in LTAC, telemetry, or critical care settings
- Experience with ventilator/tracheostomy care
- Knowledge of central line management
- Wound care experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
