Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg
Location: Palestine, TX 75801
Duration: 3 Months+
Shift/Schedule: 12*3 (Nights)
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Administer medications via oral, subcutaneous, or IV routes and document per protocol.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and report adverse effects in accordance with hospital policies.
- Perform comprehensive nursing duties, including bedside care, wound care, and IV therapy.
- Operate and monitor medical equipment, interpreting data to guide patient care.
- Initiate and reinforce physician-prescribed patient education and discharge planning.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient care, interventions, and outcomes.
- Prepare patients for and assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations, adhering to established protocols.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety procedures, and hospital policies.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Active Texas RN license or multistate compact license
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) – must be from American Heart Association
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
