Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Schedule: 3 Days/Week, 36 Hours/Week
Weekends Required: Yes
On Call Required: No
Float Position: Yes (Resource Pool)

Job Summary:

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for assigned patients
• Provides care primarily to an adult population in an inpatient setting
• Must pass Basic Rhythm Interpretation (BRI) test with a score of 85 or higher upon start
• Must have clinical competence in ventilator settings, intubation, gtts (pressors, inotropes, sedatives, etc.), drains, and other ICU-specific interventions
• Common patient population includes respiratory issues, overdoses, ARDS, ESRD, DKA, cancer, and trauma

Education:

• BSN or nursing diploma – Required
• Non-BSN nurses with <1 year RN experience must enroll in a BSN program within 15 months of hire and complete within 5 years (6 years for MSN/DNP/PhD)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred

Licensure & Certifications:

• Wisconsin RN License or Multi-state Compact License – Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required

Required Skills & Experience:

• ICU experience – Required
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center – Required
