Travel RN – Medical / Surgical
Job Title: Travel RN Medical / Surgical (Nights)
Location: Alexandria, LA 71301
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Nights | 7:00 PM 7:00 AM | 12-hour shifts
Pay Rate: $64.83/hour
Job Responsibilities:

Provide routine and complex nursing care to Medical/Surgical patients

Care for post-surgical patients including orthopedics, general surgery, and neuro populations

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care

Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor effectiveness and side effects

Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care accurately

Educate patients and families; assess learning needs and available resources
-
Delegate and coordinate care activities to support staff as appropriate
-
Adapt to changing clinical situations and manage contingencies independently
-
Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
-
Maintain compliance with ANA standards and competencies
Requirements:
-
Active RN license in the state of employment or Compact State RN license
-
BLS certification required
-
EPIC experience required
-
Ability to work nights and variable weekends as needed

Nurse-to-patient ratio: approximately 5:16:1 depending on staffing
Preferences:
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical/Surgical or related nursing specialty
-
Experience with post-surgical and neuro patient populations
-
Open to temp-to-perm opportunities
