RN – Internal Medicine
Job Title: RN – Internal Medicine
Location: Milwaukee, WI 53226
Duration: 06/08/2026 – 09/10/2026
Shift: Night Shift – 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (primarily), intermittent day shift required
Schedule: 3 days/week, 12 hrs/day, 36 hrs/week, Every other weekend required, Float required as needed, No on-call required
Pay Range: $58-$62/hr.
Schedule Notes:
- 12-hour night shifts primarily with willingness to work intermittent day shift
- Fit Test required
- Color Vision Test required
- Scrub Color: Navy blue bottoms with any color top
Work Setting: Internal Medicine / Acute Care / Inpatient Hospital
Required Skills & Experience:
- Clinical competence and experience in care and management of acute care patient population required
- Acute care patient management experience required
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and nursing practice required
- Clinical competence in inpatient nursing care required
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
Education:
- Associate’s degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating NLC state
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider or AHA approved equivalent
Job Summary:
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment
- Provides nursing care primarily to an adult acute care population in an Internal Medicine setting
- Delivers care aligned with ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice
Duties:
- Assesss patient conditions and develops nursing care plans
- Implements and evaluates nursing interventions for acute care patients
- Provides inpatient nursing care to adult patient populations
- Delivers patient-centered nursing care in accordance with professional nursing standards
- Floats to other units as needed
- Adheres to hospital nursing policies, procedures, and standards of practice
