Job Description:
- Patient Care & Monitoring: Assess and monitor the health of mothers and babies during labor, including vital signs, fetal heart rate, and contractions, and identify potential complications.
- Labor & Delivery Support: Assist with pain management, provide emotional support, and help during the delivery, including newborn care and initial assessments
- Postpartum Care: Monitor and support the mother’s recovery after delivery, providing education on postpartum care and newborn care, including breastfeeding and bonding.
- Collaboration: Work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care during labor and delivery.
- Patient Education: Educate and support patients and families about labor processes, postpartum recovery, and newborn care while fostering a positive, compassionate experience.
Experience:
- 2 years of relevant unit experience required.
Education:
- Associates in Nursing required
- Bachelors in Nursing preferred
Certifications and Licenses:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NRP (AAP)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (NCC)
- WI RN License or Compact State License
