Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU (RN)
Location: Pompton Plains, NJ
Duration: 3 Months of Contract (Possible Extension)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (36 hours per week, 3 days per week)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric, and will play a key role in patient assessment, clinical care, documentation, patient education, and safety.

Requirement:
Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience required.
Certifications:
Location: Pompton Plains, NJ

- Patient Assessment: Perform thorough, systematic, and accurate assessments of patients at all stages of life.
- Clinical Skills: Provide direct, competent nursing care, including emergency procedures and equipment handling, ensuring the well-being of critically ill patients.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete patient records, ensuring documentation of assessments, nursing processes, and patient progress.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on medical procedures and health management, ensuring understanding and participation.
- Professionalism & Collaboration: Maintain professional responsibility, adhere to policies, and collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.
- Safety: Follow safety protocols, including National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocol, ensuring a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Unit-Specific Knowledge: Tailor care based on patient conditions, diagnoses, and surgical needs, assessing reactions and providing preoperative and postoperative education.
Requirement:
Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience required.
Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Strong assessment, documentation, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Experience in paediatrics geriatrics, and surgical patient care is preferred.
