Work Schedule: Nights, 12*3- 36 hours

Job Summary:
- The Clinical Nurse provides competent and compassionate nursing care in alignment with professional nursing standards.
- This role involves coordinating and delivering patient care through the nursing process while working closely with the interdisciplinary team.
- The nurse ensures high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care in the hospital setting.
- Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, this position plays a key role in patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs; attends required education programs.
- Utilizes patient education materials and assesses patient/family readiness to learn.
- Identifies expected patient outcomes and collaborates with the care team to evaluate progress.
- Demonstrates competence in caring for patients with complex needs across physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety domains.
- Performs bedside point-of-care testing and follows nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
- Organizes and prioritizes patient care; consults appropriate resources for complex cases.
- Participates in unit goals, performance improvement, communication systems, and cost-effective care.
- Recognizes and synthesizes assessment data to determine priorities for patients.
- Assesses and anticipates discharge needs; supports patient and family advocacy.
- Collaborates with patients/families to update the plan of care and addresses cultural/ethnic considerations.
- Reads and applies relevant research articles to clinical practice.
Requirements:
- One (1) year of nursing experience.
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school.
- Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC).
