Duration: 3 Months+ contract (Possible Extension)

Job Summary:
Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care during the night shift. Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient and family care and education. Effectively communicates relevant patient and family information to the healthcare team. Actively participates in problem-solving to address variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of corrective actions.

Location: Warren, MI 48093
Duration: 3 Months+ contract (Possible Extension)
Schedule:
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Hours per week: 36 hours (3 shifts/week)
- Float role: Staffed every 4 hours; may be assigned to ED or ED observation units
- Typical patient ratio: Maximum 1:6
- Level: Level 3 Trauma Center
Job Summary:

Education Requirements:
- Required: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Licensure and Certification:

Required:
- Current Michigan RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Must have:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years recent and relevant experience in Emergency Department nursing
Skills:
- Strong clinical knowledge and analytical ability to develop effective nursing care plans within assigned units
- Ability to perform diverse professional nursing duties
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Compensation:
- Overtime: Billable after 48 hours
