Job Title: Registered Nurse- OR
Location: Neptune, NJ 07754
Initial Duration – 3+ months contract
Shift Time: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM 3 x 12-hour shifts/ 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 4 x 10hr, Every Other Weekend Required.
On-Call Requirement: after 90 days, Float Requirement: as needed to same day surgery.
Note:
- Local/Travel Contracts available in multiple departments in all states.
Job Summary:
- Primarily responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room.
- This includes, but is not limited to, assuring that appropriate documentation reflects assessment of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical intervention, and evaluation of patients' responses to treatments.
- Also responsible for assigning and evaluating the work of non-nursing direct care providers assigned to the operating room.
Education:
- ASN.
- BSN- Preferred.
Required Skills:
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- BLS-AHA.
- NJ RN License.
Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
- ACLS-AHA.
- PALS- AHA
