Locations: Albany, NY
Duration: 3 Months+ with possible extension

Work Schedule: Both Day/Night job options are available
Weekly Gross: Up to $2900/week
Contract Terms: Travel (W2 & Weekly Per Diem)

Unit Specifics:
Number of Beds: C5 has 24 beds/ M5 has 22 beds
Unit staffing description- RN’s, PCA’s, ASA’s, NP’s, Nurse clinicians
Types of equipment: wound vacs, traction, iV pumps, chest tubes, NG, trach collars, feeding pumps, Vioptix, suction, medical air, O2, mini-infusers, PCA pumps, doplars
Documentation system: Epic, MAK (medications), HEV (bed mgmt.), Pyxis, Vocera
Scheduling requirements: All shifts
Floating policy: to areas with competency.  AMC has an internal float team that assists in filling holes
Patient Experience requirements: Post surgical Med/ Surg,
 
Hospital Specifics
Certifications: Academic Medical Center, Level 1 trauma center (adult); Children’s Hospital within a hospital
 
Requested Skill Set:

• You will be caring for patients with multiple co-morbidities requiring knowledge of all body systems. Many of these patients are fresh amputations, vascular wounds, extensive vascular surgery to restore blood flow, etc.
• Required education that will be provided include, but not limited to: BLS, ACLS, Telemetry, wound care, Wound-Vacs and central lines.
• Procedures performed on unit: Assist with Chest tube insertion; Central Lines, Wound Vac changes, NG, Cortrak, catheter, indwelling catheters, doplars, dressing changes, pin care. Fasciotomy care, ostomy care

 
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, telemetry
