Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. If they are open to picking up day shifts as needed, that is a plus. Must be available on weekdays as well as weekends.
Float Requirement: Must be okay floating to main location as well.

Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care to patients. This includes supervising care treatment and services of patient care provided by LPNs, CNAs, and other staff on the assigned unit and shift. Responsibilities also include developing, implementing, and evaluating an individual plan of care for each patient, assessment and re-assessment of patients, communicating appropriate information with the interdisciplinary team, and reporting patient concerns and changes in condition to the supervisor and/or physician in a timely manner.
Required Certifications:
Required Experience: 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience in an inpatient setting.
Dress Code: Scrubs.
Documentation System: EHR – HCS.

We are looking for an individual who has strong boundaries and a work ethic that provides compassionate care to those struggling with SUD. We are open to all pathways to recovery and support those on MAT including methadone. Ideal candidate is punctual, professional, caring, and ready to jump in and support both clients and staff.

Department Details:
- This is a Residential Treatment Center with Detox beds for adults.
- They have 9–12 Detox beds and 23–36 Residential beds that can be flexed up to 35.
- Day shift: 1–2 nurses, typically 2 during med pass.
- Night shift: 1 nurse on duty with 1–2 Behavioral Health Associates (BHAs) for support.
- Patients have been medically cleared prior to admission.
- No incarcerated individuals.
- All patients are voluntary.
- Day shift has 2–3 BHAs, 2+ clinical and admin staff.
- Swing shift has 2–3 BHAs and 1 clinical staff on late date.
- Night shift has 1–2 BHAs and one RN; an on-call admin is always available.
- Orientation is 3–5 days.
- Interviews will be conducted via TEAMS with the camera on.

- Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of patients.
- Develops and implements nursing care plans.
- Maintains medical records and educates patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions while ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Assesses patient’s status on an ongoing basis and documents pertinent information.
- Ensures nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs and completed upon admission.
- Takes physician’s orders (verbal or via telephone) accurately and documents appropriately.
- Transcribes and reviews physician’s orders.
- Ensures physician’s orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately per policy and procedure.
- Accurately administers medications per ordered note and documents accurate count of controlled substances.
- Adjusts medications under provider’s supervision as needed.
- Monitors lab results to validate medication compliance.
- Conducts psychoeducation and life skills groups as needed.
- Notifies physician of significant changes in status such as difficulties with detox, medical emergencies, or medication responses.
- Supervises self-administration of medications using safety initiatives including two means of patient identification.
- Documents and reports effects of scheduled and PRN medications.
- Maintains accountability for administration, recording, control, and security of medications, including narcotics.
- Completes admission and discharge processes efficiently and accurately as directed.
- Confers regularly with treatment team (e.g., nurses, therapists, program managers, physician) regarding patient care.
- Attends and participates in unit activities such as therapy groups, family meetings, staffing, unit meetings, etc.
- Provides education/explanation to patients, families, and co-workers regarding medication usage/maintenance, side effects, patient rights, and other care topics.
- Monitors patient acuity, census, and staffing needs.
- Makes coverage arrangements as needed, following established guidelines.
- Ensures thorough, accurate documentation for all patients on each shift.
- Completes patient assignment sheets daily and carries out assigned tasks.
- Gives thorough report to oncoming staff, supervisors, and physician.
- Provides coverage in emergency services as needed.
