Job Title: RN Pediatric ICU
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts per week, 1 additional shift required per month, Every Other Weekend (EOW))
Location: 1184 5th Ave, New York, NY 10029
Department: Pediatric ICU
Hours: 34.5 hours/week, 11.5 hours/day, 3 days/week
Pay Rate: $67/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)
Role Overview:
The Pediatric ICU Clinical Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, competent, and high-quality care to critically ill pediatric patients. This role involves applying the nursing process, collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and ensuring the best possible patient and family experiences. The nurse will use evidence-based practices to provide care, prioritize patient needs, educate families, and improve the overall quality and safety of the healthcare environment.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in New York State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA
- Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric ICU or Critical Care experience in a hospital setting
- Experience in inpatient care and patient education
- Pediatric ICU clinical competence
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with process improvement and evidence-based practices
- Physical and mental capability to care for acutely ill pediatric patients
- Proficient in documentation and electronic medical record systems
- Manual dexterity for performing clinical procedures (e.g., venipuncture, CPR)
- Must have pediatric experience
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
