o Shift Time: night shift
o On Call: potentially but not the standard
o Certifications/Experience required: Must be able to read cardiac rhythms; PCU experience preferred
must live 50 miles away
These nurses would primarily care for patients boarding in the ED due to hospital capacity however, could be moved to cover staffing on telemetry or med/surg should they not be needed for holding patient in the ED. They would not be asked to manage ED patients or take an ED assignment.
"Fulfills the needs of the patients, families and community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with his/her licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. * Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring and efficient manner. * Applies knowledge of growth and development over the life span necessary to provide age appropriate care. * Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patients needs * Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients * Makes initial assessment, and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidence by appropriate documentation * Performs initial and ongoing assessment on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidence by appropriate documentation * Completes admission assessment in time frame established, according to policy and procedures"
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
Current state or compact nursing license.
Current NIHSS, ACLS & BLS certificate.
2+ years full time Tele experience in acute care setting. PCU experience preffered.
Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
