Salary range: $88,358 - $132,357/Yearly on W2
Shift: 12 Hours – 7 pm – 7 am

• Job Overview:
  Reporting to the Director of Critical Care Services, the RN in this ICU role will be accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for adult and geriatric patients. The nurse will ensure high standards of clinical practice and patient care within the ICU setting and will be responsible for coordination with interdisciplinary teams. 

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments tailored to patient needs and unit protocols.
• Develop individualized plans of care and review/modify them as needed throughout the shift.
• Implement nursing interventions and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Provide patient/family education using the teach-back method.
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition; escalate appropriately.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient/family support.
• Utilize sound clinical judgment, especially in emergencies.
• Delegate appropriately to other healthcare team members.
• Maintain proper documentation and follow hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate in unit quality improvement and interdisciplinary communication.

• 1 year of ICU, Stepdown, or PCU experience
• Current California RN License
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (within 90 days of hire)

• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (within 90 days of hire)
• Assaultive Behavior Management Training (within 90 days of hire)
• CCRN | Critical Care course (required for new grads or RNs with <1 year experience)
• Basic Arrhythmia Certificate or 12-Lead EKG Certificate preferred.
• Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.
