2+ years PICU experience required
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s).
Current state nursing license to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
De-escalation training within 90 days of hire; does not require maintaining.
Ongoing compliance with demonstration of clinically pertinent competencies as determined by the facility.
"Monitors patients using advanced equipment alerting practitioners or physicians about serious changes. *Administers specialized medications and treatments, using medical equipment such as feeding tubes and catheters. *keeping medical records complete and updated. Must be extremely detail-oriented, able to analyze, decide, and act quickly, have strong collaboration skills with colleagues at all levels, able to manage stress under emotionally and physically demanding conditions, and can communicate effectively with families and guardians of patients.
