Job Title: Travel RN – Maternal Special Care / Antepartum
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Pay - $60 /hr - $62/hr.
We are also offering travel and per diem packages that is based on eligibility.

Schedule Notes:

• Work Hours: 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts)
• Shift Timing: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Days)

 
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Travel RN for its Maternal Special Care/Antepartum Unit, specializing in high-risk obstetrics. This role demands proficiency in Epic EMR, advanced maternal nursing skills, and strong experience managing complex and high-risk pregnancies. The candidate must be certified and capable of handling a diverse patient population including bariatric and antepartum cases.
Responsibilities:

• Manage high-risk antepartum patients including those with complications such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and multiple gestations
• Assist with Cesarean sections and labor inductions
• Provide specialized care for bariatric and other medically complex maternal patients
• Monitor and assess fetal wellbeing using EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams
• Document all patient interactions in Epic EMR
• Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and emergency policies

Skills & Requirements:

• Epic EMR Experience – Required
• Advanced Maternal Care Skills – Required (C-sections, Inductions, Bariatric cases)
• FHM Certification (via National Certification Corporation) – Required
  • OR Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring – Required (within past 3 years)
  • Proof of class registration accepted at submission; full certification needed for compliance
• Labor & Delivery Experience – Required
• High-Risk Obstetric Experience – Preferred
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – Required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent L&D or high-risk OB experience
• Education: ADN or BSN
• License: Active NY RN License – Required
