Job Title:  RN Labor & Delivery
Job Location:  Modesto, CA
Job Duration: 03+ Months (Possibility of extension)
 
Shifts: 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM (Mon to Fri)
Pay Range: $68 - $78/hr. on W2 (Traveller will get stipend)
 
Job Summary:

• RN Labor & Delivery provides care to mothers and newborns after childbirth, including monitoring physical recovery, supporting breastfeeding, and ensuring the baby’s health.
• They educate families on self-care, newborn care, and respond to emergencies while collaborating with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.

• Assess and monitor high-risk obstetric patients, tracking both maternal and fetal health during labor.
• Manage complex labor situations, including administering pain relief and assisting with high-risk deliveries or emergency interventions.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, monitor for complications, and offer education on recovery and newborn care.
• Collaborate with the medical team, ensure adherence to protocols, and maintain accurate documentation for patient safety and quality care.
• 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience required.

• Five (5) plus years of recent experience (must have occurred within the last two (2) years) in Labor and Delivery is preferred.
• One (1) year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two (2) years High Risk OB experience preferred.

 
Education:

• BSN or Associate Degree in Nursing

Certification & License:

• ACLS
• AWHONN
• BLS
• NRP
• RN License (in the state where care is provided)
