Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU
Location: Clackamas, OR
Contract: 3 Months+ (Possible extension)
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (Night Shift)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team for the night shift. The RN in this role will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This position requires clinical excellence, emotional resilience, and a passion for critical care nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients, including cardiac, neurological, and multi-system conditions
- Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patients’ conditions, escalating care when necessary
- Administer medications, manage ventilators, and operate specialized ICU equipment
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and post-discharge expectations
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records using electronic health systems
- Adhere to infection control protocols, safety standards, and all applicable regulations and policies
- Participate in code situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed
- Engage in continuous learning, professional development, and evidence-based practice
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent ICU nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse License in the state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred
- Experience with dialysis, SLED, or similar treatments
