RN - Neuro-Progressive Care

Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse Neuro-Progressive Care
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 8 Week with possible extension
Pay range - $60/hr - $65/hr.
We are also offering travel and per diem packages that is based on eligibility.

• Work Hours: 36 hours per week (3x12 hour shifts)

• Shift Timing: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM

• Block Scheduling/48-Hour Requests: Not permitted

A large academic hospital in Albany, NY is seeking an experienced Travel RN for the Neuro-Progressive Care Unit. The unit manages acutely ill neurological patients requiring advanced monitoring and stepdown-level care. Ideal candidates will bring strong experience from Neuro-Progressive, Stepdown, or ICU units. The nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with complex neurological conditions and must be prepared to pass a Neuro-Progressive Competency Exam upon offer.

• Provide skilled nursing care to neuro patients in a progressive/stepdown setting

• Monitor and manage patients with complex neurological disorders

• Respond to rapidly changing patient conditions and escalate care appropriately

• Administer medications, manage IV drips, and use critical care equipment

• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR

• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-care needs

• Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control policies, and hospital guidelines

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Neuro-Progressive, Stepdown, or ICU setting Required

• Certification/Testing:

  • Neuro-Progressive Competency Exam required (administered post-offer)

• EMR:

  • Epic experience Required

• Scrub Color:

  • Navy Blue

• Licensure:

  • Active RN license in New York
