Job Title: Medical Assistant II
Job Location: Houston, TX
Job Duration: 3-4 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm or 8:15am - 4:45pm
Hours: 40 hours/week | 8 hours/day

Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist patients, families, and visitors in a professional, timely, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner.
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries regarding appointments, wait times, and clinic-related concerns.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers regarding arrivals, delays, and clinic workflows.
- Proactively address patient concerns and assist with customer service recovery as needed.
- Monitor patient wait times and escalate prolonged delays to the clinic manager.
- Coordinate translation services for patients when required.
- Participate in clinic meetings to support efficient patient flow and daily operations.
- Attend staff meetings, mandatory trainings, and comply with department guidelines.
- Notify licensed staff or supervisors if unable to complete assigned duties.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of related Medical Assistant experience.
- OB/GYN clinic experience preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical assistant patient care tasks, medical terminology, managed care, and appointment scheduling.
- Proficient in using computers, clinic systems, and standard office/clinical equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, make quick decisions, and demonstrate initiative.
