Role: RN Labor & Delivery Unit
Location: NYC, NY
Shift: Night (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), Every Other Weekend required (3 shifts/week, ≈11.5 hrs/shift; 34.5 hrs/week)
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $71/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)
Role Overview
A Registered Nurse (RN) delivering safe, evidence-based, quality care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients using Relationship-Centered Care principles. Focuses on critical thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education, and clinical excellence, with specific expertise in newborn/new mom assessment and magnesium sulfate care.

Qualifications & Skills
Education & Licensure:
- Required: BSN (completed before starting date), Registered Nurse licensed in New York State (in good standing)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Minimum 2 years L&D experience (antepartum & postpartum), including newborn assessment and magnesium sulfate management
- At least 2 years RN experience; 1 year travel nurse experience preferred (Per Diem vs. Travel noting)
- EPIC documentation experience highly preferred
- Proficient in labor & delivery, postpartum, and newborn clinical skills
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and evidence-based practice skills
- Interdisciplinary collaboration
- Patient/family education and communication
- Leadership and charge nurse responsibilities
- Resource and documentation management
