Job Title: RN Med-Surg /Orthopedic
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks (Travel Assignment)
Pay Range - $65/hr - $68/hr.
We are also offering travel and per diem packages that is based on eligibility.
Schedule :
Work Hours: 36 hours/week (12-hour shifts)
Shift Timing: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
Job Summary:
We are actively seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med-Surg Orthopedic Unit The role involves providing post-operative and general med-surg care in a fast-paced, academic hospital environment. The ideal candidate must be clinically sound, adaptable, and proficient in using EPIC EMR. This is a travel RN position offering a competitive rate and structured onboarding, including competency testing if applicable.
Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic and med-surg patients

Conduct assessments, administer medications, and assist in patient mobility and recovery

Document care accurately and timely in EPIC EMR

Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and case managers

Educate patients and families regarding treatment and recovery plans

May float to similar med-surg units as needed
Skills & Requirements:

EPIC Experience: Required

BLS Certification: Required

Experience:
-
2+ years med-surg experience NO testing required or 1 year with passing competency test

Competency Testing: Required within 48 hours

Education: Graduate of accredited Nursing Program (ASN or BSN)

RN License NY State: Active or Pending (will review pending licenses)
