Registered Nurse (RN) - CATH LAB CWR
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – CATH LAB
Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Duration: 3 Months (Strong Possibility of Extension)
Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Schedule: 5 Days Per Week, 40 Hours Per Week, Evenings (5x8s), On-call required . Rotation may vary depending on staffing and unit's needs.
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.

Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.

Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.

Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.

Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
-
Manages care of patients.
-
Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.

Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.

Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

ASN Required

BSN Preferred

Licensure & Certifications:

NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
-
BLS – AHA
-
ACLS – AHA
-
Telemetry
-

Required Skills & Experience:
-
Must have Cath Lab experience
-
Must be able to function as an intra-procedural RN responsible for documentation, medication administration, and circulator of minimally invasive procedures (e.g., LHC and PCI)

Preferred Skills & Experience:
-
Critical care experience highly preferred
-
Experience with EPIC and Sensis
-
Familiarity with equipment such as IABP, Impella, Shockwave, and atherectomy devices

Vascular and/or Neuro diagnostic and interventional experience preferred
