RN - Intensive care unit

Title: RN - Intensive Care Unit

Location: Detroit, Rochester, West Bloomfield, Grand Blanc, Warren, Clinton Township, and multiple cities in MI

Shift Timings: Days/Nights, 12 hours/day, 36 hours/week.

Pay Range: ($1800to $2000) Per week

Essential Responsibilities:

• Monitor critically ill patients’ vital signs and respond to changes promptly.
• Administer medications, IV drips, and life-saving treatments accurately.
• Perform detailed, frequent assessments to evaluate patient conditions.
• Operate and manage ventilators, monitors, and other ICU equipment.
• Respond to emergencies with life-saving interventions (e.g., CPR, Code Blue).
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate and support patients' families regarding treatment and recovery.
• Document patient care and status accurately in electronic medical records.
• Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain a safe care environment.
• Performs efficiently in emergency patient care situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events.

Required Education:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

 
Preferred Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).

 
Experience:

• Previous level 2 trauma experience.
• 2+ years Neuro ICU experience.

 
Required Certification & Licensure:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, current MI RN licensure.

 
Required Skills & Experience:

• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
