Job Title: Registration Clerk – Float
Location: Salinas, CA 93901
Contract Duration: 3 Months+ (Possibility of extension)

Shift: Variable (Flexibility Required)
Pay Rate: $26/hr. on W2
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Register inpatient and outpatient clients by accurately collecting and entering demographic and financial information.
• Greet patients, families, and visitors with professionalism, empathy, and calm under pressure.
• Verify patient identity using government-issued photo identification.
• Obtain insurance details, pre-authorizations, and required patient signatures.
• Prepare, process, and route patient charts, labels, ID bands, and registration documents.
• Create and apply patient identification bands and labels accurately.
• Review all entered data for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate transfers, bed swaps, and system updates as applicable.
• Communicate with physician offices to secure authorization numbers when required.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations, including Advance Directives for Healthcare Decisions.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in medical office administration and/or data entry.
• Strong attention to detail with high data-accuracy standards.
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic, patient-facing environment.
