RN - Progressive Care Unit
Location: Jackson, MI
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
Job Summary
Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care. Utilizes the nursing processassessment, planning, implementation, and evaluationto provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and patient/family education. Communicates pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team and participates in resolving variances from patient goals to ensure effective care delivery.
Education Requirements
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Certifications & Licensure
Required:
- Current Michigan RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) AHA
Preferred:
- Not specified
Skills & Experience
Required:
- Clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop effective nursing care plans
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing duties
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and hospital staff
- Recent experience (2+ years) in PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry
- Experience managing medication drips

- Facility cannot guarantee consistent block scheduling; shifts may vary weekly
- Shifts will be scheduled consecutively when possible
