RN - PreOp/Ambulatory Surgery
Job Title: Registered Nurse – PAT/POCU/ASU
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 8 Weeks (Travel Assignment)
Pay range on W2 - $65/hr. - $68/hr.
We do provide travel pay based on eligibility (it could be $2243/week. - $2346/week)
Schedule Notes:
Work Hours: 36 hours/week (12-hour shifts)
Shift Timing: 7:00 AM – 8:30 PM
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced and Epic-proficient Registered Nurse for the Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Post-Operative Care Unit (POCU), and Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU). This is a travel nursing opportunity requiring strong clinical judgment, familiarity with perioperative workflows, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:

Provide pre-op and post-op nursing care in outpatient surgery settings

Coordinate patient education, assessments, and discharge planning

Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and administrative staff

Monitor patient vitals and manage recovery from anesthesia

Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR

Adhere strictly to hospital protocols and infection control guidelines

Float to related units if required
Skills & Requirements:

Licensure: Active RN license in NY (no pending licenses accepted)

Certification: BLS and ACLS (Required)

Experience: Minimum 2 years in similar unit (PAT/POCU/ASU)

EMR: Epic experience is REQUIRED

Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program
