Job Title: RN Med Surg/Tele Unit
Location: 1000 10th Ave, New York, NY 10019
Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Every Other Weekend Required)
Contract Type: 13 weeks (possible extension)
Hours: 34.5 hours/week, 11.5 hours/day, 3 days/week
Pay Rate: $60/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)

Role Overview:
The Clinical Nurse in the Med Surg/Tele Unit provides safe, competent, and high-quality care to a designated group of patients, using evidence-based practices, research, and nursing theory. This role involves direct patient care, coordination with the healthcare team, and education for patients and families. The Clinical Nurse also focuses on improving patient experiences and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:

• Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). An Associate degree in nursing may be considered with relevant experience or enrollment in a BSN program.

Certifications & Licensure:

• Required: Registered Nurse (RN) - New York State.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Experience:

• Required: Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Tele experience.
• Required: 2+ years of RN experience.
• Required for Travel: 1 year of travel experience
• Preferred: EPIC experience.

Skills:

• Expertise in cardiac monitoring and telemetry.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and patient management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and empathetic patient care skills.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and patient safety protocols.
