Installation Leader
Job Title: Installation Leader
Location: Onsite Newton, NC
Duration: 1-year contract (possible extension)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Installation Leader to support the installation, start-up, and debugging of high-volume manufacturing equipment. This role requires strong mechanical engineering expertise, leadership experience, and hands-on involvement in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate installation activities for mechanical equipment

Develop and manage project schedules, workflows, and task assignments
-
Provide hands-on support for installation, start-up, and troubleshooting
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, controls, facilities, IT, operations)
-
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve installation issues
-
Ensure safe work practices and compliance with safety standards
-
Support equipment qualification and commissioning

Review and update equipment drawings and documentation
-
Verify equipment build and layout aProductst specifications
Required Qualifications
-
Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Technology, or related field

Experience: 5+ years in mechanical equipment installation within high-volume manufacturing environments

Proven leadership experience managing teams, schedules, and workflows

Experience managing mechanical and electrical trades (internal and external)

Strong hands-on experience with equipment installation, start-up, and debugging

Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor)

Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, ANSI, ASME); OSHA 30 certification preferred
-
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to multitask, work independently, and solve problems proactively
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with high-speed cable manufacturing equipment (jacketing, ribbon stranding, buffering)

Familiarity with multiple engineering disciplines (electrical, civil, process)

Work Environment & Travel

Primarily onsite at the Newton, NC plant

Additional Information

Local candidates preferred; relocation at candidates expense may be considered

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. for at least 18 months
